This new waterslide on 28th St is *terrible*! The slide itself was ok (maybe 4/10), but the landing definitely needs some work!! And the water in it was just a trickle and seemed to me like it wasn’t being filtered properly!!!1

I'm posting this because my timeline needed something with color to break up the monotony. So that's why you get a close-up picture of a California poppies in bloom.

Friggin poppies. Set in a field of green grass that will turn brown in another 2 months, a half-dozen orange flowers rise from a scraggly base, offering no opiods or anything really useful other than an opportunity for me to test how close I can get with a wide-angle lens before it refuses to focus.

The answer, by the way, is 4 inches.

Looking downward at a brook that runs through the woods. Snow has completely covered the water for nearly 6 weeks but with slightly higher temps, the rushing water has reappeared. There is a 3 foot wide strip of humpy snow that is still intact, forming a bridge between both banks. It won’t be here for long.
