I've been thinking a lot about the #Fediverse ALT issue.
Some people are annoyed by posts without #Alttext, & others get reminded¹ to add it.
The core question is: How can we improve #accessibility?
Proposal:
☑️ Add a user filter to hide media posts without #AltTag
☑️ Reduced engagement on hidden posts would encourage adding #Alt text
☑️ People who need accessibility wouldn't have to encounter unlabeled media
If this gets traction, I'll open a #Mastodon GitHub issue.
Hmm, I went to check on Pebble, originally a Twitter clone that was reborn as a Mastodon server.
It looks like they're no longer around? Bummer.
Can't really find anything about the server shutting down, any chance someone on here knows more?

Loops Starter Kits only support local account at the moment, as I was waiting for Mastodon to finalize their spec so we can maintain full compatibility.
Working with @dave from the Mastodon team has been amazing, and I'll be adding remote account support this weekend.
Isn't it amazing how projects like Loops and Mastodon can work together to the benefit of everyone.

Loops Starter Kits only support local account at the moment, as I was waiting for Mastodon to finalize their spec so we can maintain full compatibility.

In 4.6, users on participating servers can create shareable bundles of recommended accounts with a description and topic hashtag. Added accounts get notified and can remove themselves. Mastodon is starting with a 25-account limit and no follow-all button.
