Yes yes, I know I'm going to get teased about this. It's a flower pic ok? *grumbles* I'm posting this because my timeline needed something with color to break up the monotony. So that's why you get a close-up picture of a California poppies in bloom. Friggin poppies. Set in a field of green grass that will turn brown in another 2 months, a half-dozen orange flowers rise from a scraggly base, offering no opiods or anything really useful other than an opportunity for me to test how close I can get with a wide-angle lens before it refuses to focus. The answer, by the way, is 4 inches. I could have stayed home and figured that out.
