Here's something from a month ago, when the weather was better (gloomier).
Cape Sable and Cape San Juan at Pier 80, February 14th, 4:15 p.m.
I hadn't even realized how much I missed a good old photo feed until I visited pixelfed. It's like stepping out into nature where the peace in the air takes away the pain you didn't know you had.

The Cappagh Sentinel
The sun had risen about 40 minutes before and we were about to leave Cappagh Beach on the Dingle Peninsula when I saw a tree silhouetted against the sun....

Okay, out of the countryside and back to our regular programming: life in the city.
The Folsom Street Fair.
September 21st, 2014, 1:13 p.m.
God, I love San Francisco. It is strange and wonderful and frequently sexy... and I truly hope my love of this city comes through in the pictures I post.
Petaluma, yesterday, 2:45 p.m.
Lens wipes will be delivered by 1:00 p.m. today.

Roll 1969park05: Berkeley (May 30, 1969)
This panorama was taken on 12 frames stitched together in Photoshop. The fact that I took the set as a panorama and then held on to the negatives for half a century until technology made it possible to render this image is so cool that I'm just going to leave this out here by itself for a day to let you all dig it.
A photo a day
So a quick update on something I wrote about last month...
It appears the failed and recently shuttered Westfield Mall / San Francisco Centre has been rescued. A pair of local developers won the bid and purchased the massive, defunct聽mall for 10 cents on the dollar. Rumor has it they plan to redevelop the mall into a mix of housing, office, and some retail.
Fingers crossed they save the old Emporium dome atop the eastern side of the mall. Speaking of which, from my Lightroom archives, here's a picture I took in December 2009 of that grand old dome. Look at her, all gussied up for Christmas 馃槝

Roll 1969park03: Berkeley (May 30, 1969)
Everyone gets ready for the march.
One: The troops. You can dimly see Shakespeare & Co. in #2; that was on Telegraph when I moved to Berkeley 30 years later, so I'm guessing that this is where we are.
It rained for most of January and February here, which I assume is why the woods and wetlands are looking especially mossy now

Unfortunately, #Vernissage was not selected for NLnet funding. It is disappointing, but I understand how competitive these calls are. As a fully independent project sustained entirely through community support, #Vernissage relies on patron support to cover its ongoing infrastructure and resource costs. That support now matters more than ever for the project鈥檚 future. 鉂わ笍

@sebkln oh this is really fun stuff. Great writeup and congrats on the new section!
This is a good reminder for me to set up another #photography popup for us #indieweb types. I鈥檓 aiming for a quarterly cadence and we did our first one in December:
