@BobHorowitz An evocative photo that really strikes at the heart of it all. Dark and moody.
@doctorobvious I had gone by 2 hours earlier and the light wasn't right. It was too bright for the mood. This was taken 20 minutes before sunset, when the streets were darker.
@BobHorowitz I’ll never trust Americans again until every goddamn stop sign in their country looks like this one and the fascists are dead.
@BobHorowitz Chinga la migra.✊🏽
@bluejay
*nods*
Those words mean a lot here. According to the 2020 census: 38% of this neighborhood is Latino.
@BobHorowitz And California used to be part of Mexico. When the US grabbed it, Latinos were already there — they’re not “invading” from anywhere. Latinos are among the Indigenous people who have been on this continent for far longer than the European colonists, and if anything they have more right to be here than anyone else. Chinga la migra forever.
@BobHorowitz This is awesome Bob!!
@ambivalena a sign of the times
@BobHorowitz Absolutely! And I agree with the sign :)
This is a Bonfire Federated social instance for those that enjoy gnarly adventures. Whether it's shredding mountains or slaying guitars, from action sports to art.
