2. Click ⋯
3. Click "Edit"
If someone has already boosted your post, they will be notified every time it is edited. This notification is to prevent "bait and switch" abuse of the editing feature.

@FediTips I'm very glad you mentioned the part about certain people being notified about edits. When I first joined this instance, I had one postthat I edited several times throughout a single day, in order to add text, delete or add tags, etc. I had absolutely no idea that those who boosted it, etc. saw each edit. I was sent a message by the administrators that I had been reported, but without details. I quickly realised why, though, and immediately apologised publically, since I would never deliberately do something like that. Fortunately, the people here are very kind and understanding.
p.s. I know a lot of people know about editing but posted because still seeing people unaware of the edit feature on here. This is possibly because other platforms don't have editing or restrict its use to elite members.
Everyone can edit their posts on here, you don't need to be a special member of any kind.

@FediTips I was just about to write that I appreciate that you give these really basic or "obvious" tips too – there's always someone who've missed it :)
You should add that it ping everyone that retoot, so you can edit a toot to thank for the repost or respond to some questions.
