What activities or services are you most hoping for coming from a privacy rights organization?
@Em0nM4stodon Giving people real control about what they share on tracking details in the background when using apps. Everything unneccessary off by default and a clear explanation for the rest
@Em0nM4stodon
Something simple and easy. I'm always looking for something to show the hard learning.
Something that can manage nihilism and most of all promotes peoples interest for considering alternatives.
Also a genuinely good alternative to google maps. With good routing (osm and still often wants to send me into a ditch or cross a treeline)
But most of all, I want a strong entry level privacy/linux guide with motivation and a high adaptation rate.
No terminal, no frills, easy onboarding
@Em0nM4stodon On top of the defense of privacy rights in court which I really, really, really appreciate, I would so appreciate even more communication for non-tech folks about how to batten down the hatches privacy-wise in a rising authoritarian/surveillance state.
It's surprisingly difficult to find info that can be learned from and shared with folks who don't have a tech background...
Federated bonfire social space for those into gnarly adventures. From shredding mountains to guitars if you enjoy gnar, come share your stoke and adventures!
