Sharing to Mastodon using any browser in iOS does not allow pasting copied text. You have to post first, go to mastodon, hit your profile pic in the bottom right, select edit post, then you can paste text. No other social media platform or app, native app or mobile website exhibits this behavior.
So I think I鈥檒l stop posting to Mastodon as it鈥檚 tedious compared to posting to x or Bluesky or even UpScrolled.
